Endless Treasures Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. —Ephesians 3:8

The speaker held my attention like a vice. He was exciting, eloquent, and most of all, passionate about evangelism. “If you don’t have a Gospel tract in your pocket when you go out in the world, you aren’t dressed right,” he said. And, “If you’re not ready at all times to share the Gospel, you aren’t ready to eat or drink either.” At the end of the meeting, he simmered down a little and told us how the Gospel was the greatest treasure we had. “Not money. Not food. Not a great house or career. Not even a great spouse is as much a treasure as the Gospel. For it is available to everyone.” I thought a lot about that and even began carrying tracts with me to pass out everywhere I went. Have you ever thought that the greatest love you can show anyone is to share the Gospel with him or her? It is, and we should all be ready at any opportunity. Always be ready. It’s a sign of the real love in your heart to speak the truth, even in situations where it’s not wanted or expected.

Telling others the Gospel message is one of the best ways to love them. — Jerry Hamilton —
