My husband and I run an inner-city ministry. One day when out and about, I noticed a young girl with a baby sitting outside a market. The Holy Spirit prompted me to talk with her. We chatted for some time. I asked her if she needed anything, and she said her baby needed a stroller. Later that week I ran into a friend who had a lovely stroller that she was getting rid of. I phoned the young girl to arrange a meeting. She arrived, baby in arms. As we walked, I paused and said, “The morning I met you, I asked God to use me that day in some amazing way.” The young mother stopped. She had tears in her eyes and said, “The morning I met you, I asked God for help.” We embraced each other and shared the warm, tender, all-powerful love of God. He is so faithful.
His love works extraordinarily through the ordinary.
