Enter the Holy Place And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. —Hebrews 10:19
I just don’t see what’s so great about prayer. It’s just talk. I guess you’re talking to God. But God’s everywhere, right?” Matt, a member of our small group, said. Steve, the leader, responded, “Suppose you need something so incredible that you have to go to someone great and powerful to get it. Think the president. Or a king. How would you tell him about your need?” “I guess I’d have to go to Washington, D.C. To the White House. To his office. I guess I’d be very reverent and present my best argument and hope he would say yes,” Matt answered. “Good,” said Steve. “Now think of it this way. The place where God was in the land of Israel was in the temple, in the Most Holy Place, where the Ark of the Covenant and other things were. Only the high priest could go in there. But because of what Jesus did, when you’re praying, you enter the Holy Place and stand, or kneel, before God’s throne. Every time you pray. Think of it that way.” “That changes everything,” Matt said.
The love of God is so great that when you pray, He lets you come into His most Holy Place to talk to Him. — Richard Holland —
