Crunchy Love Notes Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. —Ephesians 5:1–2

Look!” My granddaughter smiled as she held up a folded potato chip from her bag. She teased a minute before passing it over to me. “You learned well, sweet girl,” I replied, reaching out to receive her love offering. This granddaughter had watched her grandfather smile and give me folded potato chips for most of her five years. She quickly caught on that sometimes even little things mean a lot. I love folded potato chips—you know the ones where both ends stuck together as they sizzled in the hot grease? Folded potato chips are just one love our family shares. Other families may have a secret handshake, a special signal to show their love, or a word that only they understand. How often during the day do I see a little thing God sends just to say “I love you”? It could be a beautiful flower, a soft breeze, a clear blue sky. Or it could be a folded potato chip delivered through the hand of a loved one!

There is no end to the small expressions of God’s love. — Linda Gilden —
