I Make a Difference Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. —Isaiah 40:31
Brynie was a young man starting in the business world. I met him at a men’s conference we were both attending. Even though I was much older, we seemed to click as friends. He went to my church, so after the conference was over, I invited him out to lunch. We talked about his job. Brynie said he was struggling because he was new at being a financial advisor. I encouraged him to persevere, because God was there to give him strength. We continued having lunch periodically. And as time went by, he reported he was doing better. I kept encouraging him to work hard. Last month when we met for lunch, Brynie handed me one of those trendy plastic rubber-band bracelets. It said on it, “I Make a Difference.” Brynie told me, “Because you stayed by my side and encouraged me so much, I am very successful now.” I am still wearing the bracelet everywhere.
