Foolish or Wise? Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. —1 Corinthians 1:27

I have heard forever that I should make more of an effort to share my faith. But I don’t seem to naturally get many opportunities. So I decided, after prayer and seeking God, to become more proactive about it. I began carrying tracts with me everywhere I went. I gave them to people like cashiers at Walmart and others I met. In time, I got another idea: What if I said directly to some of these people, “Have you ever heard of the gospel? Do you know what it is?” And if they said yes, I’d ask, “Do you believe it?” As I’ve started asking these questions, I’ve received many interesting responses. Of course a few people get nasty and don’t like it. And some regard me as some “stupid Christian” or a real fool. I tell people, “I guess I’m just a fool for God. If that’s what it takes to show love to others, I’m all for it.” Anyway, it’s not a problem. I’ll live with that criticism since out of my foolishness, God may be able to bring His love, light, and wisdom into someone else’s life.

We’re never foolish to try to reach others with God’s love. — Mark Littleton —
